Am I the only one who goes to say 'Good Morning Vietnam'
every time i say name of the new stamp
New sneak peek of annual catalogue for 2019-2020
Playing with Good Morning Magnolia (149298)
The only way you can get your hands on this beautiful stamp set, before June 4th is to sign up to Stampin' Up!, which could mean you get it for ziltch.
If interested in knowing more about that option, email me, my details are in the panel on the right of the page.
This is one of the beautiful stamps, from the set.
Starting with this beautiful image...gold heat embossed on very vanilla cardstck
How I did it:
Firstly i inked the stamp up with versamark (102283)
I had already wiped my very vanilla card stock (106550) with my embossing buddy (103083) to remove any static and grease from my card then stamped the image.
Sprinkled gold emboss powder (109129) liberally over stamped area
Tapping excesss powder onto piece of scrap paper and return it to jar.
If any stray bits of powder dust it off with a clean paint brush or blow it off.
Heat set image with heat tool (129056) I had the tool heating for few seconds so it was nice and warm making sure heat tool is moving and not settled to long in one space just till image shines, or it will over cook and loose it shine.
Its hard to see but I did over cook one wee edge of a leaf.
A beautiful gold and very vanilla card front.
Secondly I heat set white emboss powder (109132) in same way as above on basic black card stock (121688)
Equally stunning in its own way as white on black always is....
Then I really had fun playing with stampin blends:
Firstly stampin image firmly with jet black stazon ink (101406) on whisper white card stock (106549)
Making sure i cleaned stamp thoroughly with stazon cleaner (109196)
Photo showing how well the stazon cleaner cleans stamps.
Then the real fun begins, using petal pink stampin blend
in dark (144871) and light (146866)
As I dont have blends in old olive (144573) dark or (144574) light
I used my aqua painter (103954) to paint the leaves
With my old olive ink pad (147090)
Then just for the stem i used stampin' blend crumbcake dark (144581)
And a hint of wink of stella glitter pen (141897) to make the petals sparkle. Completing the card front.
